Life Takes Us On Many Paths
Whether you’re feeling lost, overwhelmed or unsure of your next step, counselling can help you make sense of your thoughts and emotions in a calm, supportive environment.
Lynsey Mallinson
I’m a qualified counsellor and NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) practitioner working with adults, young adults and children in Jersey, Channel Islands.
I won’t tell you what to do as you know yourself best (although it may not feel like this at times!). Instead, my role will be to support you as best I can, to help you find your own answers. Together we can talk and explore, look at your past, or at patterns of behaviour or thinking.
Hopefully, I can help you express your feelings and emotions and help you consider your options and any decisions you need to make, in order to help you manage your problems and moving forward, feeling differently about things.
Counselling I offer
Counselling for children
Counselling for children provides a safe, supportive space where they can express their thoughts, feelings and worries in a way that suits their age. Through gentle conversation and creative approaches, children can better understand their emotions, build confidence and develop healthy coping skills. 2. Young People and Adults This
Young people and adults
This service offers a calm, confidential space to talk through life’s challenges — whether related to stress, relationships, self-esteem, anxiety, or difficult experiences. Together, we explore what’s happening in your life, helping you gain clarity, feel understood and find a way forward that feels right for you.
Walking counselling
Walking counselling combines the benefits of talking therapy with the calming effects of being outdoors. Moving through nature can make it easier to open up, think clearly and feel grounded. Sessions follow a gentle walking pace and are suitable for all ages, offering a refreshing alternative to the traditional therapy room.
Counselling supervision
Supervision provides professional support for counsellors at all stages of their practice. It offers a reflective, collaborative space to explore client work, maintain ethical practice and develop skills with guidance and care. The aim is to support your growth, confidence and wellbeing as a practitioner.
Why counselling?
Sometimes life, or certain parts of it, can be tough. Things that happen to us, or those around us, can affect us in different ways. It might be confusing and disorientating, making us feel out of sorts; out of control and not ourselves. There may be sadness and anger, feelings of guilt and frustration, shock or numbness – among many other feelings.
Perhaps you’re at a stage where you want to look at certain parts of you, or things that are happening, or have happened. Or you could be looking forward, unsure of which way to go.
These times are when counselling might be worth considering; talking and sharing may help you make better sense of things. Counselling can provide you with the space to be yourself, to work through your thoughts and feelings safely, without judgement and to talk and to really be heard, in confidence.
